撐著(zhu)(zhu)油紙傘，獨(du)自彷徨(huang)在悠長(chang)，悠長(chang)又寂寥的雨巷，我(wo)希(xi)望逢著(zhu)(zhu)一個(ge)丁香一樣(yang)的，結著(zhu)(zhu)愁(chou)怨的姑娘。

她是有丁香(xiang)(xiang)一(yi)樣(yang)的(de)顏色，丁香(xiang)(xiang)一(yi)樣(yang)的(de)芬芳，丁香(xiang)(xiang)一(yi)樣(yang)的(de)憂愁，在(zai)雨中(zhong)哀(ai)怨，哀(ai)怨又彷(pang)徨；她彷(pang)徨在(zai)這寂(ji)寥的(de)雨巷，撐著油(you)紙傘，詩(shi)人眼(yan)中(zhong)的(de)丁香(xiang)(xiang)姑娘，像我一(yi)樣(yang)，像我一(yi)樣(yang)地默默彳亍(chu)（chì chù）著，冷漠，凄清(qing)，又惆悵。

她靜默(mo)地走近(jin)，走近(jin)，又投出，太(tai)息(xi)（“太(tai)”通“嘆”，太(tai)息(xi)就是嘆息(xi)的意思）一般(ban)的眼光。

她飄(piao)過像夢(meng)一(yi)般的，像夢(meng)一(yi)般的凄婉迷茫。像夢(meng)中飄(piao)過一(yi)枝(zhi)丁香的，我身旁飄(piao)過這(zhe)女郎(lang)；她靜默地(di)遠了(le)，遠了(le)，到了(le)頹圮(pǐ)的籬墻(qiang)，走(zou)盡這(zhe)雨(yu)巷。

在(zai)雨的(de)哀曲里，消(xiao)了她的(de)顏色，散(san)了她的(de)芬芳，消(xiao)散(san)了，甚至她的(de)太息般(ban)的(de)眼光，丁香般(ban)的(de)惆悵。

《雨巷》1927年夏(xia)天，寫成后差不(bu)多一年，作者將它投(tou)寄到《小說月(yue)報》。當(dang)時代理《小說月(yue)報》編(bian)輯(ji)的(de)葉(xie)圣陶一看到這(zhe)首詩(shi)就非常喜歡，稱(cheng)它“替(ti)新(xin)詩(shi)的(de)音節開(kai)了(le)一個(ge)新(xin)的(de)紀元(yuan)”，并送給作者“雨巷詩(shi)人”的(de)稱(cheng)號。這(zhe)一年，作者才22歲。

一(yi)(yi)首(shou)好的(de)抒情詩，應該是(shi)藝術美的(de)結晶(jing)。它會超越時間(jian)(jian)和(he)空間(jian)(jian)的(de)限制而喚起人們審美的(de)感情。然而多年(nian)來(lai)，《雨巷(xiang)》和(he)戴(dai)望舒的(de)其他一(yi)(yi)些詩作，卻(que)被視為象征派和(he)現代(dai)派的(de)無病呻吟而排斥在(zai)文(wen)學史的(de)視野外(wai)；多年(nian)以后，人們才像觀賞出(chu)土文(wen)物一(yi)(yi)樣，把這些作品從遺忘的(de)塵土中挖(wa)掘出(chu)來(lai)，又重新看到了它們身上的(de)藝術光輝。

這首詩(shi)寫得既實又(you)虛，朦朧(long)恍惚(hu)。“我(wo)”似(si)乎有著滿腹的(de)(de)(de)心事，無限(xian)的(de)(de)(de)煩憂，但(dan)又(you)不愿明說，或者是說不出(chu)來(lai)。“我(wo)”似(si)乎在期(qi)(qi)待(dai)什么、追(zhui)求什么，而(er)期(qi)(qi)待(dai)和追(zhui)求的(de)(de)(de)目標又(you)顯得那(nei)(nei)(nei)樣遙遠而(er)渺(miao)(miao)茫。“她”出(chu)現了，這或許是在幻覺中(zhong)(zhong)，或者是真的(de)(de)(de)，但(dan)“她”的(de)(de)(de)出(chu)現是那(nei)(nei)(nei)樣地快(kuai)，逝(shi)去也(ye)那(nei)(nei)(nei)樣地快(kuai)，一剎那(nei)(nei)(nei)間擦(ca)肩而(er)過，消失在前方(fang)，“像夢一般的(de)(de)(de)凄婉迷茫”。“我(wo)”只(zhi)有自怨自艾(ai)，自悲自嘆。詩(shi)中(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)“姑娘(niang)(niang)”，我(wo)們可以認為是實指，是詩(shi)人(ren)(ren)心中(zhong)(zhong)期(qi)(qi)待(dai)已久(jiu)的(de)(de)(de)美麗、高(gao)潔而(er)憂郁的(de)(de)(de)姑娘(niang)(niang)。但(dan)我(wo)們也(ye)可以把這位“姑娘(niang)(niang)”當做詩(shi)人(ren)(ren)心中(zhong)(zhong)朦朧(long)的(de)(de)(de)理想(xiang)和追(zhui)求，代表了詩(shi)人(ren)(ren)陷入(ru)人(ren)(ren)生苦悶時，對未來(lai)渺(miao)(miao)茫的(de)(de)(de)憧憬。

本(ben)詩巧(qiao)用象征(zheng)手(shou)法，營(ying)造了一種既實又(you)(you)虛，朦朧(long)恍惚(hu)的(de)(de)氛圍。“我”在雨巷(xiang)中獨自彷(pang)徨，似乎(hu)有滿腹的(de)(de)愁苦，但又(you)(you)不愿說出。

詩(shi)(shi)中(zhong)的(de)(de)姑娘，我(wo)們可以(yi)認為是(shi)(shi)實指，是(shi)(shi)詩(shi)(shi)人心(xin)(xin)中(zhong)期望(wang)已久的(de)(de)、高(gao)潔又憂(you)郁的(de)(de)姑娘，也可把其(qi)當做是(shi)(shi)詩(shi)(shi)人心(xin)(xin)中(zhong)的(de)(de)理想和追求，表達了詩(shi)(shi)人對人生的(de)(de)苦悶，對未來的(de)(de)渺茫憧憬。
