對(dui)失戀或(huo)單身朋友不該說(shuo)的話(hua)

　　Don't say: "You were too good for him."

　　Why: You are basically saying she has bad taste. And you'll be embarrassed if they ever patch it up.

　　Instead say: ";His loss!" It gets the same point across without disparaging her judgment.

　　不要(yao)說"You were too good for him."（他配(pei)不上你。）因(yin)為這樣說的(de)(de)話你本質上是指她的(de)(de)品味太差，而且(qie)萬一他們言歸于好(hao)了你豈(qi)不是很尷尬？可以說"His loss!"（那是他的(de)(de)損失！）這樣既沒有貶低(di)她的(de)(de)判斷能力，又達到了同樣的(de)(de)效果。

　　Don't say: "I'm glad you got rid of him. I never liked him anyway."

　　Why: She'll wonder about your fake adoration for him while they were together.

　　Instead say: "I'm confident you'll find someone who will give you exactly what you want." It focuses on what's to come, not on the dud you're glad she's done with.

　　不(bu)要(yao)說"I'm glad you got rid of him. I never liked him anyway."（我真(zhen)高(gao)興你(ni)甩了他。我從來就沒喜歡過他。）那(nei)樣她會(hui)懷疑，他倆還(huan)在一起的時(shi)候你(ni)不(bu)過是(shi)假惺惺地稱贊她男友(you)。可以說"I'm confident you'll find someone who will give you exactly what you want."（我相信你(ni)會(hui)找到稱心如意之人的'。）這話著重于將來會(hui)如何(he)，而(er)不(bu)是(shi)那(nei)段失意的過去。

　　Don't say: "How could someone as perfect as you still be single?"

　　Why: A statement like this comes off as a backhanded compliment. What she hears is "What's wrong with you?"

　　Instead say: "Seeing anyone?" If she's tight-lipped about her love life, move on to other topics.

　　不(bu)要說"How could someone as perfect as you still be single?"（像你這(zhe)樣十全十美的(de)人，怎么還會是(shi)單(dan)身呢？）這(zhe)感覺像是(shi)句諷刺(ci)挖苦的(de)恭維話(hua)，在她(ta)聽來你是(shi)問(wen)"What's wrong with you?"（你哪里不(bu)對勁？）可(ke)以說"Seeing anyone?"（有沒(mei)有約會啊？）如(ru)果(guo)她(ta)對自己的(de)戀(lian)愛問(wen)題守口如(ru)瓶，那就轉移話(hua)題吧(ba)。
