翻譯(yi)資格考試技巧內容(rong)
有些(xie)譯作總(zong)體上說是(shi)高質量的，但(dan)也有望文生義的現(xian)象，如不屬于本文上述五個方面的原(yuan)因，則可能是(shi)疏(shu)忽大意所致。
1. Feedback, which one-way communication like the printed page fails to provide, makes learning easy and, in the case of motor skills,is essential.
[誤譯]反(fan)(fan)饋能使(shi)學習變得方(fang)便(bian)，而象印(yin)刷(shua)品之(zhi)類的單向信息(xi)傳遞就沒有反(fan)(fan)饋。在(zai)學習駕(jia)駛摩托車(che)時(shi)，反(fan)(fan)饋更必不可少。
[分析]in the case of“就(jiu)…來說（而言），論到，提(ti)到，至于(yu)”。Motors skills 是教育學上的'名(ming)稱，指“運動(dong)技能(neng)”，而不是指“摩托車駕駛”。
[正譯] ……就運動技能而言，反饋更必(bi)不可少。
2. The results of that decision can now be evaluated as the first ships of the new gas turbine Navy far enough advanced to enable a comparison to be made with existing steam turbine warships.
[誤譯] ……，并以(yi)英(ying)海軍(jun)第一艘先進的(de)(de)新(xin)型燃氣輪(lun)機艦只與(yu)現有蒸汽輪(lun)機艦只相(xiang)比來(lai)估價這個決定(ding)的(de)(de)結(jie)果。
[按]將(jiang)first 誤譯為“第(di)一(yi)艘”，將(jiang)advanced誤為“先進(jin)的”，均系(xi)不認真(zhen)嚴肅所(suo)致。
[正(zheng)譯(yi)]現在可以來評論這(zhe)一決(jue)定(ding)的結果了，因為英國海軍首批新燃(ran)氣輪機艦只已大(da)有進(jin)展，足以用(yong)來和現有的汽輪機軍艦作一比較。
3. There is generally an advantage in being able to keep propelling machinery as far aft as a large gearbox restricts possible, but this positioning.
[誤(wu)譯]一般來(lai)說(shuo)，使推(tui)進裝置(zhi)盡可能(neng)遠離(li)艦尾是(shi)有利的，但是(shi)這樣布置(zhi)會受到大齒輪箱的限制。
[分析]如far aft 譯為“遠離(li)艦尾(wei)”，意思就完全顛倒了(le)。此(ci)處far相當于much,considerably,to a great extent. Aft [a : ft ]非常(chang)接近船尾(wei)。由(you)于“盡可能接近艦尾(wei)”這一概念已相當明確，故“非常(chang)”可不(bu)譯出。
[正(zheng)譯(yi)]一般來(lai)說(shuo)，使推進(jin)裝置盡可能靠近艦尾(wei)是有利的，但(dan)是這種布置會受(shou)到大齒輪(lun)箱的限制。
最后(hou)尚須指(zhi)出，有時望文是由多種(zhong)因(yin)素(su)所造成，請(qing)看下面(mian)的句子系受詞匯、專(zhuan)業、習慣等影響。

[分析]此處just =almost not, hardly 曾誤譯(yi)為“正(zheng)好覺察得出……”，這樣意思就反了。
